What is a wireless hotspot?

Telecom wireless hotspots are physical locations around New Zealand that allow anyone to surf the Internet at high speed within a wireless environment from their WiFi enabled (802.11g or b) device.

Where are the Telecom Wireless Hotspots?

Look for the Telecom Wireless Hotspot sign or check the wireless hotspot finder. We’ve even made wireless hotspots in Christchurch available free of charge.

How do I access the Internet using a Telecom Wireless Hotspot?

All you will need is a WiFi enabled device. If your laptop isn't Wi-Fi enabled you can buy a wireless laptop card from a Telecom store  (please check with the laptop manufacturer for help to install and configure any necessary software). See connecting to a Telecom Wireless Hotspot.

What does it cost to use a Telecom Wireless Hotspot?

$9.95 (including GST) per hour or per 120MB.
