Payment Options
Automatic Payment
Automatically pay a set amount each week, fortnight or month from your bank account. Calculate the amount to pay each time carefully to make sure the account is not over or under paid.
To set this up
Print out and complete this automatic payment form, then take it to your bank to activate.
Once set up and active, confirmation will be indicated on the payment slip of your next bill. Until you receive this confirmation, please continue to pay your bill as normal.
Cash / EFTPOS / Cheque at any New Zealand Post Shop
Take along your phone bill - so they can scan the bar code. This is a good option to use if you need to pay your telecom bill urgently.
Cheque by post
Post your payment slip and cheque in the reusable envelope you received your account in, remember to attach a stamp to it.

Credit Card - Automatic monthly payments
Automatically pay your monthly bill with your credit card, take the hassle and worry out of paying your bill, especially when you're away on holiday or business. Convenience fees do not apply to monthly pre-loaded payments.
To set this up
Print out and complete this authority to debit card form, then send it to us, details on the form.
Once set up and active, confirmation will be indicated on the payment slip of your next bill. Until you receive this confirmation, please continue to pay your bill as normal.
Credit Card - One-off payments
Visa / MasterCard / American Express / Diners Club holders can make one-off payments over the phone via Telecom Service Express on 0800 000 000, enter quick code 7631 and follow the instructions (you can choose how much you pay).
Credit, charge card and debit card providers charge a convenience fee (percentage of total amount paid) for one-off payments, it appear as a separate transaction on your card statement. Telecom does not receive any part of this fee, but will advise at the time of each one-off payment that the fee will apply.
Fee Structure:
Visa and MasterCard - 3%
American Express - 2%
Diners Club - 2%
This is a good option to use if you need to pay your telecom account urgently.
Direct Debit
Automatically pay your monthly bill from your bank account, take the hassle and worry out of paying your bill, especially when you're away on holiday or business.
To set this up
We recommend familiarising yourself with the terms and conditions on the Direct Debit form before completing.
ANZ National, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, Kiwibank, TSB, NZ Home Loans, Bank Direct or Sovereign Home Loans customers you can sign up online:

Customers of other banks please print out, complete this Direct Debit form (PDF 71KB), then send it to us, details on the form.
Once set up and active, confirmation will be indicated on the payment slip of your next bill. Until you receive this confirmation, please continue to pay your bill as normal.
Cancelling or Suspending Your Direct Debit
You can cancel your direct debit or suspend a payment up to two business days before the due date on your statement.
To cancel your direct debit email directdebits@telecom.co.nz or call 123 (residential) or 126 (business).
Be sure to include the Telecom account number(s) you wish to cancel or suspend your direct debit authority on.
Internet banking
Add Telecom to your payee options on your online banking. When you receive your monthly account you just go online and transfer the amount due from your bank account.

Telephone banking
Talk to your bank to set up telecom as one of your bill payees, then you can pay your bill from any touchtone phone. You'll need to have your Telecom account number handy.
